Happy 21st birthday to J.G.!!! I won't be able to see her and observe the occasion until next weekend, but this weekend her friends at school are going to take her out and show her a good time, which should be interesting since she's not much of a drinker. My mom did something really sweet and mailed her a birthday gift early. Mom, did you get J.G.'s thank-you note in the mail? She really appreciated it. Since I won't be able to give her all of my gifts until next week, I mailed a couple things myself. She's been really looking forward to the new Ted Leo album that came out this week (as was I), so I had Amazon ship a copy to her, and I also mailed her a replacement copy of the first mixtape I ever made for her, which she lost and wanted another copy of, along with a letter and some pictures of us from over the summer that I just got developed. Hopefully those will all by in the mail waiting for her by today. Happy birthday, J.G., I love you, and I'll see you soon. -al
